Just look at the documentation and examples in /etc/shorewall/tos. Newer versions of shorewall also allow you to use fwmark for marking packets destined for tc rules. Just make sure that if you go that far that you turn on mangle_enable or something like that in the shorewall.conf file. > What kind of an effect would you expect to see? > Should web browsing be noticeably quicker, i.e. get some priority over the > FTP data transfers? > http will be more responsive. As an example, I tested this out on my firewall (using ssh not http) when shorewall first offered tos. I maxed out my cable modem connection with a few simultaneous downloads of some isos, then I opened up an ssh connection to a remote box. I was able to interact with the remote box with no noticable lag at all. -- Mason -- Shrike-list mailing list Shrike-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/shrike-list
