Yes you can. But note: Samba and NFS are completely independent from
each other, so you have to configure both! You can also go and switch
file sharing over to NFS while still using Windows clients - there are
some NFS clients available fro Windows.

But be careful, this is very technical, so you will need someone with
good skills in both Samba/Windows and NFS.
