Experiencing authentication flaw

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

I installed RedHat 9 some days ago on a reasonably
out-dated machine (IBM Aptiva 2140-L61, Pentium II).
Everything works fine, except that when I log in
through GNOME any password works for any user.
In other words, if the current user I am loging
in is "root", I can type "a","b", whatever, as the
password and it works. I have tried to configure
"Authentication" option in the "System Settings"
menu, but none of the combination I tried worked.

Any help would be appreciated,
Thank you.
Marcio.
