That has nothing to do with the chkrootkit rpm. You have just run into
the RPM-stale-locks trap. The way out (which has been posted to these
lists maybe a hundred times already):

  <exit package tools, kill them if necessary, e.g. killall -KILL rpm>
  rm -f /var/lib/rpm/__db.*
  rpm -vv --rebuilddb

Then try again.
