No problem with chkrootkit rpm, is a rpm problem itself. Kill all rpm
processes. Then go to /var/lib/rpm and delete the three __db files.

Try again

Asunto: frustration with chkrootkit rpm

Recently it was suggested that one install the chkrootkit rpm from:
http://download.fedora.us/fedora/redhat/9/i386/RPMS.stable/chkrootkit-042-0.fdr.1.b.rh9.i386.rpm

I dpwnloaded it and tried to install it. It got through the
preparation stage and locked up. I killed it. Now rpm -qa does not
work; rpm -Va does not work. I guess rpm no longer works. I am
frustrated. Any suggestions?
