I installed the 1.1.0-2 RPMs but I seem to have a problem. I run "oowriter" and it prompts me to do an installation which I duly do by choosing all the defaults (except for filling in my name and initials). However, when I run oowriter a second time I go through the same rigmarole. Am I missing something? Doing something wrong?

i have never installed by rpm, but it sounds like it's getting confused between a single and multi user installation.

how did you set it up at install?

I just did "rpm -Uvh openoffice.org*.rpm". The dialog boxes prompt for a single user installation (240Mb) or the default multi-user installation (a lot less). Since my existing .openoffice directory is a mere 1500Kb I though sticking with the default was the right thing to do. The I was somewhat surprised by this question though since the 1.0.2 installation from the RH9 CDs doesn't ask at all... and just cheerfully creates a .openoffice directory.
