Kernel Rebuild

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello all,

I am trying to rebuild the kernel, and I have a question.

I am trying to build the latest from kernel.org, 2.4.22. I thought that I
would be able to use the configs from the RH source RPMs, 2.4.20-20.9 for
example, as the loadable configuration baseline for xconfig, and all would
be well. But it seems to me that the configs are dated, and do not match
those kernels, since I cannot build a complete bootable kernel of the 2.4.20
source tree from, both the rpm source and the kernel.org source.

An I wrong in my thinking here. I hope not, since I have always done that
since RH 5.
