I've not seen an RFC or similar on email netiquette. If there were one, we *might* be able to beat Novell about the head and shoulders with "GroupWise does not conform to RFC 123.45 Re email netiquette". GroupWise leaves me few options on email formatting, and I have no option but to use GroupWise. So it's top-post or RTF/HTML; I choose to top-post. It has been asserted strongly that etiquette suggests that the reply text follow the text of the message replied to. That makes sense to me. But it is not followed on many lists outside the computer users context. Hence the argument with my wife. This drove me to google and looking up sites for e-mail etiquette and that rule is just not found. Any one know where to find it? -- ------------------------------------------- Aaron Konstam Computer Science Trinity University 715 Stadium Dr. San Antonio, TX 78212-7200 telephone: (210)-999-7484 email:akonstam@xxxxxxxxxxx -- Shrike-list mailing list Shrike-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/shrike-list ********************************************************************** This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed.
