Did you create users "by hand", e.g. not via useradd or the GUI utilities?
No.
Or are these users somewow missing a .bashrc and/or .bash_profile in their home directories?I found that problem was after fail issuing following command as ROOT on terminal
# ssh -X satimis@localhost
then I hit 'Enter' after a warning saying something not found popup. Afterward I closed the terminal.
