I recently upraded my openssh to 3.7.1p1-1 and kdebase to 3.1-15. Now trying to use sftp from konqueror ends with the error: error talking to ssh sftp works from the commnd line and all he other kio modules seem to work OK. I don't see an error message in the logs and google has been unhelpful.
