Unless you want to start an off-topic religious war in this forum,
remove ALL religious content, especially including "signature"s from
your submissions.

In most countries on Earth, there is not only freedom of religion but also freedom of speech. Whomever you are replying to can say anything at all he/she wishes, of a religious or any other nature, and you have no right to tell him/her not to do so.

Yes, religion is off-topic in this forum, and we all expect that each list member will show courtesy and manners by NOT discussing religion in the same way as each list member is expected to have a brief signature that does not unduly waste bandwidth and display space. But the content of that brief signature is entirely free: you can put any damn thing you want in there, and no one can tell you to remove it.

If you object to specific content in a post, and you KNOW it is off-topic for the list, then take your argument to private email. Do not attempt to censor, for that will certainly meet with grave displeasure from nearly every member of this forum.

Also, since we're on the subject of etiquette and courtesy, please change the subject line from "Shrike-list digest..." to something more relevant to the actual content of your post. And thank you for trimming out unnecessary text from your post.
