kernel + modules or compiled In?

Hi All,

quick question. I've read about trying to keep the kernel a minimum
size, make sure we compile the thing which are really needed..stuffs like
that..

With the inclusion of modules as opposed to directly compiled in, what is
the community's response/feeling on compiling everything (or at least most
of everything) that _should_ ever be needed as modules? eg: compiled in
netfilter as a modules even though it's _never_ _ever_ used AT ALL. (but
___might___(is this how we type we we try to _emphasise_ something _very_
much?) be in the future..)

why am I asking this?? Cause I'm getting a lot of modprobe errors!! I'm
looking for an easy way out.. :)
