Your boot prompt should have read something along the lines of this: linux text serial and you can also add some other options to the serial if you want to get more fine grained, for example: linux text serial --unit=0 --speed=9600 for it to output to com1 at 9600 bits You'll know it worked when you see it say "Cereal is an important part of a nutritionally balanced breakfast" as some weisenheimer added to the boot code. ;) > With the SUN and AIX workstation this goes very > well.
