Just an educated guess;  Maybe the 3c59x is the wrong driver ??

I've used two different 3Coms in my CPx-J but neither is the 565.  (currently 
using 575 and I don't recall the number on the first one, an old 10 meg nic)

Not sure where to point you for more research.

Do you need a docking station for it ??  (assuming the CPi and CPx both use 
the same dock)
