The RU> .doc section has come as part of the body of the email and not as RU> an attachment. This really has nothing to do with doc files or MS Word; you have a corrupted MIME message. I help users with this occasionally when someone forwards a message using a non-MIME-aware mail program, thus destroying the structure of the message. What you can do is save off all of the base64-encoded crap to a file, then run mimencode -u garbage.file -o file.doc You'll need to get the metamail package; Red Hat last shipped it as part of version 7.3. It should still install on Shrike. - J< -- Shrike-list mailing list Shrike-list@xxxxxxxxxx https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/shrike-list
