One side of the router connects to my cable modem, 'tother side to my Linux Server. My Laptop and my wife's PC connect via SAMBA and LinkSys wire NICs. My Linux boxes connect via CAT5 @100mps, the Laptop and wife's PC via the wireless access point @11MPS. Works fine. I also use 128bit encryption for the wireless connections and require a password for access to the wired LAN.
