RH9 Installing woes (ftp/http)

Hi,

I've been trying to do new install of RH9 on computer using files from
network. Was having problems with my http server so first I tried ftp...

Part 1:
Found that, after I had booted rh setup from floppy and used network
boot disk, when I was specifying the ip and directory for location of rh
disks the install program would add an extra '/' into the path every
time it went to look at the ftp server. Also wouldn't allow me to have
no leading '/' in the path field.

Eg.

Ip: 192.168.1.200
Path: /linux

RH would display its ftp url as:
ftp://192.168.1.200//linux

Which obviously wouldn't, and doesn't find anything, as should be
looking for:
ftp://192.168.1.200/linux

Won't allow path as 'linux'.

Part 2:
So went back to the drawing board and fixed up my http server.

Installation actually starts now, but gets up to 20% of installing rpms,
and gets stuck when it's trying to install libstdc++-3.2.2-5. Says that
it can't be opened, due to missing file or corrupt package.

I've checked the md5sum file and the iso's (discs 1-3) are all okay.

Tried restarting installation, but got stuck at the same point.

Tried copying rpm file from disc1 onto webserver file system again, but
still same result.

Files on WinXP machine (yes, yes), on NTFS filesystem, being servered by
Abyss webserver.
Copied them there from iso's read using daemon tools v3.29.

Any help appreciated, really didn't want to burn the cd's, and not sure
it would help anyway?

Luke
