hibernation on T23

what needs to be done to get hibernation working on a T23? I'm running a 
 basically stock red hat 9 install on the machine. it will suspend when 
i close the cover, but i haven't noticed any reference to hibernation 
with the os itself.

i'm sure there's a driver to download or something, but i'm not really 
sure where to start on this one.
