Nedit allows you to save text files in UNIX{lf},MAC{cr} and DOS{cr-lf} formats.
It also does syntax highlighting and has a lot of realy powerful editing features.
If you install it it will show up under :
Programming -> More Programming Tools -> Nedit
Hope it helps.

Is there a linux text editor that won't break the batch files when I

If I create a text file with pico, and try to run it from windows, it
seems broken. I'm not sure what is wrong with it, but it seems like it's
just one big long line.
That's the case when the editor replaces the line delimiters. The line delimiters on Windows (carriage return + linefeed) differ from those on Unix/Linux (just linefeed).
You could use "dos2unix" and "unix2dos" to convert your files.

There is a fine line between genius and lunacy, fear not, walk the line with pride. Not all things will end up as you wanted, but you will certainly discover things the meek and timid will miss out on.
