Once it is configured, it seems to run. But to configure it you need
to run k3bsetup which locks up GNOME in at least one step in the
k3bsetup wizard.

Of course, you could also try Arson as an alternative GUI for
burning/ripping CDs. An Arson package for Shrike can be found in
Fedora's "testing" repository.

If you used a package utility you wouldn't need to worry about
rpm dependencies:
