Hi,
I seems to have a problem with useradd when the username is in mixed cases
Command typed: useradd Jtest
useradd: invalid user name 'Jtest'
This is the error message. Any solutions
yeah, I think login is case insensitive :P *yuk!* I like case sensitiviness, I dont understand why login isnt for the login name, but is for the password.
Login is most definitely case sensitive. And, like I said, upper case characters in a username cause problems for more than just useradd/login.
heh. i just never cared for the appearance of uppercase characters in usernames.
Nor do I...I usually think it silly to see uppercase characters in the username portion of an incoming mail, but it happens.
