I am also using satellite, no *DSL here either, rural Australia.
What we did was utilise an old dish left by Austar, a satellite TV
provider. We got rid of it as the kids were glued to Cartoon Network.
But the dish we simply connected to a card supplied by a satellite
reseller and away we go. We did need to re-align the dish and we
changed the LNB, we later discovered we did not need to change this
as we could alter it in the software.
