I am trying to run a backtrace on httpd

[root@xxxxx phoenix]# /etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd stop

[root@xxxxx phoenix]# gdb /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd

(gdb) run -X
Starting program: /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd -X
[New Thread 1075527040 (LWP 5272)]

I then access the web page that is causing a segfault in httpd
and it replies..

Couldn't get registers: Operation not permitted.
(gdb)bt
Cannot fetch general-purpose registers for thread 1075527040: generic error

Why can I not get this to play fair?

Kind regards
Kevin
