Have u done this in make menuconfig?

SCSI device support ---> SCSI low-level drivers ---> Adaptec AIC7xxx
		                                     Fast -> U160(New 						    
Driver)  

Have you built it in the kernel <*> or made a module out of this <M> ?

ls /lib/modules/2.6.0-test1/kernel/drivers/scsi/aic7xxx/ what is the
output of this ? Does it list aic7xxx.o ?

I am currently compiling and having another adaptec card which also uses
the same module I was interested.
