Around about 21/07/2003 10:30, Robert P. J. Day typed ...
not sure this really needed the 2.6.0-test1 kernel, but i
just burned a CD without the SCSI emulation module, whoo hoo!

It's more using the latest cdrecord that kernel, I thought - I use[d]* atapi cdrecord with RH's 'stock' 2.4 - that cdrecord being the RPMs from the cdrecord site.

there is apparently no need for all that "dev=ATAPI:" nonsense that's
been floating around.

AIUI, you use either 'dev=/dev/wotsit' or 'dev=ATAPI:n,n,n'.

* - had to stop as cdrtao (?) which dvd::rip use doesn't wrap cdrecord, and so doesn't 'do' APAIP burns.
