snmp disk checking not working

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

So I'm trying to configure snmp to check disk usage. I've installed the
net-snmp package, and edited the default /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf file only
to uncommend the line that says:

disk / 10000

However, when I run snmp-walk:

[root@xxxxx root]# snmpwalk -v 1 localhost -c public

I get a bunch of information up until it would be checking for the disk
size. Then it sits for a second or 10, and gives me:

Timeout: No Response from localhost

Checking /var/log/messages shows that something is trying to probe all
the ports for ide primary/secondary master/slave:

Jul 18 16:19:20 localhost net-snmp[12207]: Connection from 127.0.0.1
Jul 18 16:19:59 localhost last message repeated 3 times
Jul 18 16:20:12 localhost net-snmp[12207]: Connection from 127.0.0.1
Jul 18 16:20:13 localhost modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module

Jul 18 16:20:13 localhost modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module
block-major-33
Jul 18 16:20:13 localhost modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module
block-major-34
Jul 18 16:20:13 localhost modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module
block-major-34
Jul 18 16:20:13 localhost modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module
block-major-56
Jul 18 16:20:13 localhost modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module
block-major-56
Jul 18 16:20:13 localhost modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module
block-major-57

Can somebody assist me with this please? Thanks.
