Iomega 120GB FireWire external HDD with RH9 and i8200

Does anyone have any experience using an Iomega 120GB FireWire external
HDD (model # 32430)? I'm using RH9 on a Dell Inspiron 8200. What I would
like is for Kudzu (and updfstab) to recognise when the drive is
connected and do their magic. I'd like to hear others' experiences
before buying one of these.

Also, the data the drive will contain will need to be readable and
writable both when running Linux and when running Windows, so I guess I
am going to have to use VFAT (sigh). I know VFAT isn't efficient on
large drives, so what would be the optimum number of partitions to spilt
the drive into? Also, if the drive contains multiple partitions will
Kudzu/updfstab automatically create mount points and mount all of them
when the drive is plugged in, or will I have to set up the fstab myself?

TIA, Darren
