You could find file system corruption, random hangs or crashes, and other nasties. There are no guarantees. It is always possible that the beta kernel will corrupt your file systems. This is beta - you could wipe out other partitions that the beta code can see. If you plan on sharing partitions between the beta and production kernels (like a shared /home partition), then you could be setting yourself up for nasty surprises.
