(net)Rhythmbox and gst-player (which may be what the gstreamer-player
listed is) are the main gui apps I know of for certain that use
gstreamer. http://gstreamer.net/download/ has a link to an apt
repository with packages for RH 9. I haven't had much of a chance to
tinker with it myself yet.
