hello i noticed your email address is from indy.rr.com i am from the same domain so we are sorta neighbors i run my own mail server on my service, and today aol started bouncing my outgoing mail to aol users. i went to the web site listed and could not find my ip address listed. i am not running open proxy as far as i know :), and rr.com tests it regularly. my service is sold as dynamic ip, but does not really change. i am not listed in the dial up list on the aol page. do you run a mail server on your rr.com service ? can you send email to aol.com users ?? do you have any advice for me ? thanks randy ----- Transcript of session follows ----- ... while talking to mailin-03.mx.aol.com.: <<< 550-The IP address you are using to connect to AOL is either open to <<< 550-the free relaying of e-mail, is serving as an open proxy, or is a <<< 550-dynamic (residential) IP address.
