Hi,
I want to set up a print server on a linux box running cups.
I want to share the printers to a small group of folks here running
redhat and windows 2000 clients.
This is what I have done so far:
On the server, I have set up CUPS and created a printer for our HP
LaserJet 4200. It prints fine with the "raw" driver, but once I switch
it to CUPS HP laserjet driver or the PPD file for the 4200 I am unable
to print.
First question: what's the significance of using the PPD driver over raw?
Second question: I'm able to share this printer to my linux client.
Is there a way to set up Windows printer sharing using "point and print"
ie: I click on the printer share and the drivers are automagically
downloaded from the server?
