Also, I got rpm to work for root on kernel 2.5.68 by creating /etc/rpm/macros(renaming etc/macros.specspo - whatś that anyway?) and adding %__dbi_cdb create cdb mpool mp_mmapsize=16Mb mp_size=1Mb private AS Jeff Johnson suggested.
