in addition to this and my previous note, there are invariably
modules that will cause the 2.5.73 build to fail, regardless of
whether you've BK-patched it or not.  what to do in that case:

1) check out www.osdl.org/archive/cherry/stability, and look for
   the most recent list of build errors.

2) run the make with the "-ki" options (see "man make" for why).
   there are some modules that simply won't build (obsolete and
   unsupported possibly), and you have no choice but to identify
   and deselect them.
