Hello John

The first sign of madness is talking to yourself and the second is replying to your own messages :-)

However, for anyone else that might be having this problem, it was because I hadn't installed the ttfonts* RPMS. I'd forgotten that the RENDER extension uses client-side fonts which threw me for a while.

Specifically in mail.

Working for a Korean company I get the odd message with Korean attachments and/or text. I can't read Korean all that much, well, not at all really, I can just about recognise the odd name here and there.

Anyway, with Mozilla 1.4b on my RH8 system, the Korean characters in mail display as Korean characters. However, on RH9 with both 1.2.1 and 1.4-rc3 (specifically, the one I found on rawhide) Korean characters display as a little square with the (unicode) number of the character shows up in a little square. The attached file (it's only small) is "hello" in a selection of languages in UTF-8 (I hope I've set this thing up to do UTF-8) and it displays fine in a KDE konsole and konqueror and sort-of-a-bit in gnome-konsole.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
