Not necessarily; if you don't have the php-mysql RPM package installed,
you won't have mysql support. See my other post on this subject.
Yeah, I'd just got that far. It's obviously too hot in this corner of Merrie Englande. You can check php as much as you like and if you don't have php-mysql installed it's never going to work.
