Will I have to write in the resolv.conf the name servers of all those whom i want to connect fr ex  www.yahoo.com, www.google.com so many I will have to write?
I want to know how can i enable the DNS service. In  7.3 I use to do it
by using
setup
system services
and enable dns
but here i don found a dns service in systemservices.
ALso, linuxconf does not work on my machine.

Just edit /etc/resolv.conf file and add in your info and that should do
it, like below..

domain domain.com
search domaindns.com
nameserver 1.2.3.4
nameserver 1.2.3.5

Above is the basic format that you can use. You probably don't even
need the domain part, just the search and nameserver fields. You might
even go to another machine on the same LAN and view it's
/etc/resolv.conf file and see what they have and use it.

Hope that helps,
