Hi all,

I am trying to run Squid on SMP machine, but it seems that it doesn't
use more than one processor. Is there anything to do or i should change
proxy software ? Of course it is on RH 9, one that ships with it.

Squid is a single-threaded application.

We're running squid on a 4 cpu box and a 2 cpu box
and it's running on all CPUs here - using aufs storage
system which according to the squid man page uses
posix threads for async i/o:

CPU2 states: 3.6% user, 3.7% system, 0.0% nice, 92.6% idle
