Cisco VPN Client 4.0 and Shrike

Hello folks,

I have Cisco's VPN client version 4.0.1A-k9 for Linux. Installs
fine on RH 6.2, 7.3, and 8.0. Then we come to RH 9. The stuff
just does not compile. It starts out with some warnings about
bad things like using kernel headers from userspace. Then there
are a series of errors about incomplete data type definitions. Here
are some samples:

-------------------------------------------------------------------
/usr/src/linux/include/linux/ext3_fs_i.h:75: field `truncate_sem' has
incomplete type

                 from linuxcniapi.c:22:

Anyone have any clues on what changed between 8.0 and 9 that would
cause this problem? Or more importantly, how to work around it?

I have posted to a Cisco list, too, BTW.
