Well,
I tried to reinstall the driver again and came up with an
error that I did not previously see, when trying to print
a test page:
<--begin error-->
lpr: unable to print file: client-error-not-found
   while executing
"exec lpr -P$printqueue $installpath/$testpagefile"
    invoked from within
".top21. can24. can27. but37 invoke"
    ("uplevel" body line 1)
     invoked from within
"uplevel #0 [list $w invoke]"
    (procedure "tkButtonUp" line 7)
    invoked from within
"tkButtonUp  .top21. can25. can27. but37
"
     (command bound to event)
<--end error-->

I'll be darned if it means anything to me...

tony
