will be samba 3.0.0beta1 in the new redhat beta? http://www.samba.org/samba/whatsnew/samba-3.0.0beta.html

no problems here its running fine
./configure; make; su; make install --> a little bit confused ;-)
./configure prefix=/usr sysconfdir=/etc/samba libdir=/etc/samba ...
--with-lockdir=DIR --with-piddir=DIR ...
comes a little bit closer. from where can i get all the options,vars, ... that redhat uses?
