remove both
or try  redhat-config-printer  first
(sometimes i like cups but sometimes i hate it)


# rpm -e cups
# rpm -e LPRng

install only LPRng and the good old redhat-config-printer-package

# rpm -ivh LPRng
# rpm -ivh redhat-config-printer

# redhat-config-printer    or
# redhat-config-printer-tui

       omni
