starting apache at boot

I replaced the default rh9 apache installation with an upgrade to
apache-2.0.45, but now apache will not start at boot time. I can start the
server manually with /usr/local/apache-2.0.45/bin/apachectl start.

I checked www.apache.org, and it mentions that one can modify some scripts (I
assume something in /etc/rc.d/init.d) to call apachectl at boot time, but it
didn't say exactly *what* to change.

Could someone get me pointed in the right direction with an example or two?

regards,

shane
