It's interesting, with this kernel i don't see the performance issues
(sluggish desktop when lots of Perl and shell stuff was spawned) i used
to see with the previous RH updated 2.4.20 kernel on RH 8.0.
Seems to work pretty well so far, and i believe it's slightly faster
than the distribution's default (although i could be wrong).

If i can compile on it the ALSA, DXR3, NForce and NVidia drivers, and
LIRC, then i'll upgrade my home workstation too. ;-)
