mozilla problem

Hello all,
I have an RH9 machine in which mozilla starts up with a Select User
Profile Dialog Box wider than the screen width, with some source text in
red like

<button class="right exit-dialog" id="ok" label=&okButton.label;"
default="true"  etc.

at the bottom. The dialog box wants me to select a user profile but
lists no users. If I try to create one, it suggests Default User as the
profile name and then tells me a profile with this name already exists.

If I try to remove it with rpm -e mozilla, it won't do it because of
dependencies for other mozilla programs like mozilla-mail, etc. Forcing
it isn't permittedeither. I didn't try removing all the dependent
programs yet.

I know removing/reinstalling mozilla is kind of an MS way of approaching
it, but didn't expect to have problems doing it.

What's the right way to go about this?

Thanks
