Umm^2, you replied to a message and just changed the subject line. That is NOT enough. You should compose a completely new message. Put the list address into your addressbook and take it from there. A "reply" to an existing message maintains the following e-mail headers (these are from *your* message): In-Reply-To: <1057806604.1171.12.camel@xxxx> References: <Pine.LNX.4.44.0307081904150.3190-100000@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> <1057806604.1171.12.camel@xxxx> They refer to the existing thread of messages about the 2.6 kernel mailing list. That is incorrect since you wanted to create an entirely new topic. A new message would not contain these headers and hence would not be displayed as belonging to an existing thread. - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/DYYZ0iMVcrivHFQRAtnlAJ4roH2sTeDBUILImwx9gyNMsS8L1gCaAv/Q KtuPG80pAuVC7AIM2ZOyL/I= =S0Ki -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
