First of all, you replied to a thread that has the subject:

Please don't do that. It disturbes the treaded display in many
popular mail readers due to mail headers in your message. Some
users won't even see your new message when they have already
hidden all messages in a thread.

If you examine /sbin/mkbootdisk, you see that mkinitrd is not used
anymore.
