Anyone Using the XIG Accelerated-X Drivers?

The company, PowerNotebooks from which I am getting my new notebook
http://www.powernotebooks.com/configurator.php3?regular_model_id=265&model_id=267 (ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 video) is now using XIG's Accelerated-X drivers with Mandrake 9.1 on all of their notebooks (if sold with OS).

Anyone used this driver set with RH9? Results and comparisons to
XFree86? I bought my notebook w/o an OS (already own RH8 and RH9), but
want to maximize the features.

I am also looking at upgrading my desktop and will be using the same
video card so that I don't have to learn the eccentricities of two
different cards under Linux.

Thanks! doc
