Boot to single user mode, change /etc/inittab to go to run level 3 by default,
exit, boot to level 3, see if you can startx. I still think you have a
problem w/ X.

I already did that, i changed inittab to go to runlevel 3 by default, run startx
and it keeps giving me the same error, the /var/log/XFree86.0.log and it says it can't initialize because terminal 3 doesn't exist
