That page doesn't mention the new problems with a gcc-3.2 build of Mozilla. 
Please try this one:
http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/linux.html
You will have to install the latest version of Java (1.4.2) and place a 
symbolic link of the plugin (no copy, this doesn't work!!!) in Mozilla's 
plugin folder.
