I have followed the various posts recently re:
troubles with k3b...

Anyway, I decided to check out the k3b site and lo and
behold, there is a RH9 rpm all ready to go. I haven't
tried it yet, so I don't know if it solves the
problems people have had, but I thought I would let
folks know it was there in case anyone hadn't seen it.

I am now able to successfully burn CDs with this package. Using gtoaster
and xcdroast, cdrecord would report bus reset errors and fail with
"incompatible medium" errors (see
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=88552), and I'd get
about a 90% failure rate. Since installing k3b on Tuesday, I've only had
one failure out of about 12 burns so far, and that was a buffer underrun
while burning over the network with too many apps open.

Cheers,
Charles

I have tried k3b and still cannot produce an audio cd of any quality...My audio cd's
will only play on the computer and they will not skip tracks...I have tried all the gui's
and cdrecord command lines but none seem to work...Iget no error messages and I look at the cd and the tocfile is
there and all the tracks but it still will not play on my audio system........For this reason I
still have to keep a spare partition with xp on.....:-(
